A Rebuilder Story

Married for 10 years and with two children, I found myself in serious trouble. Separated once already, my married life was like a roller coaster. The marriage was characterized by immorality, adultery, drug & alcohol use, bitterness, anger, unforgiveness, dishonesty, pride, tantrums, and threats. Separated again, it looked like this time divorce was inevitable. Now facing a wasteland, the situation looked hopeless. My life felt like sinking sand; I needed a solid place to stand. I didn't know which way to turn. It was obvious that my way had brought destruction; I was desperate for God’s instruction. Then someone directed me to the Rebuilder Ministry.

At Rebuilders, I realized that I needed to be transformed with the thoughts and ways of God; in this I found no condemnation, only freedom. That was the beginning of rebuilding my life on the sure foundation of Christ. What He thought and what He wanted for me was now my heart’s desire. I no longer wanted my will and my way, only His. The love, joy, and peace of Christ I now possessed attracted my husband back to the Savior.

The Lord taught me truths from His Holy Word...
  • In captivity He has a plan - Jeremiah 29:10-14
  • God hates divorce - Malachi 2:16
  • When we seek Him, we will prosper - II Chronicles 26:5
We have been involved with Rebuilders since 1982 - first by attending, then as support, and gradually into a leadership role. God has restored the years that the locust has eaten (Joel 2:25) just as He promised. God has done exceedingly and abundantly more than we ever imagined or asked (and we asked a lot!). Rebuilding became our life message and our life work. The Lord placed a call on our lives that showed us where we fit in the body of Christ - to give a message of hope in Christ to people with broken lives.

    The Rebuilder Ministry began over 25 years ago in the efforts to help a small group of hurt, wounded people, who were actively seeking the answers to the above questions. They found them in the Word of God. Today’s Rebuilder message is still the same as then.


What has been found to be true:
  • The Holy Bible has all life's answers.
  • God knows, cares, & loves us.
  • Christ is sufficient for our every need and eagerly desires to help.
  • God has a unique plan and purpose for every trial.
  • The Lord is faithful & can be trusted.

Children’s Ministry too! The children will learn about the Lord through Bible lessons, scripture memorization, singing, and prayer taught by our gifted ministry team.
  • Nursery: Newborn up to 18 months
  • Youth Ministry: 1 1/2 – 12 years of age
  • Teen Ministry: 13 and up years of age
  • Mature teens may stay with parents or help with the children’s ministry
